A new generic product, USP-NEXIUM, is indicated for the treatment of acid reflux. USP-NEXIUM has not been evaluated for this indication in children. If your child has had a heart attack or heart bypass surgery in the last six months, or if your child has had any of these conditions during treatment, this product is for you.
A new generic product, USP-NEXIUM, is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.
CONTRAINDICATIONS OF TRUST
Hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or any of the excipients of this product, or to any of the excipients of this product including the excipient(s) in the formulation.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTONS
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the excipients in this product.
Do not use if you have a history of hypersensitivity to any of the excipients in this product.
Before using this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions, or if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

INSTRUCTIONS TO Be Useful
If you are using this product to treat a symptom (e.g. gastroesophageal reflux disease, acid reflux disease), talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you begin treatment with this product. They may be able to help you use the medicine safely.
Use this product regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use this product at the same time as the other products. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
It may take several weeks to a week for the full effect of the medicine. Avoid swallowing the product as you may be able to spread the contents through the mouth and into the child's child's child's child's child's mouth.
If you use this product to treat a painful condition (e.g. a headache), it may take several weeks before the full effect of this product is seen. Do not use if you are also using a pain relievers or fever reducer. Talk to your doctor before you use this product if you are also using a fever reducer or pain reliever. If you are also using a pain reliever, you may need to wait 24 hours before taking the product.
INDICATIONS
Talk to your doctor before you use this product if you are allergic to any ingredients in this product.
Do not use this product if you are pregnant or if you are breast-feeding.
The safety and efficacy of this product have not been established in patients under 18 years of age. If you have a medical problem such as liver disease, abnormal heart rhythm (a condition that causes fainting), a heart attack, or a stroke, stop use and contact your doctor immediately.
This product may be used in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the excipients in this product. If your child's doctor decides that the excipient(s) in the product are not necessary, the product should be used with the smallest effective dose possible.
It is not known whether or not the excipient(s) in the USP-NEXIUM formulation are excreted in human breast milk. If you use the USP-NEXIUM USP-NEXIUM tablet, do not take the USP-NEXIUM tablet without first checking with your doctor.

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the Consumer Medicine Information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is one tablet a day. - Do not take more than this recommended dose of one tablet (20 mg) a day, even if you don't feel an improvement immediately. - You may need to take Nexium 24HR for a few days before experiencing the full effect. - Nexium 24HR should be taken for at least 7 days and up to 14 days. - Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you do not feel better while taking Nexium 24HR. If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing the course, consult your doctor. Further examination may be required.
